Happy 50th everyone. This is the highlight of the anniversary.. Savor it and enjoy it. I cant see it topping this! Wouldn't it be nice if this -wasn't- the highlight, though? But you're right, it probably is.

Then when you by the eventual DVD you get as a bonus to see them again completely uncut for the first time

OK, I have purchased my copies of Enemy and Web from iTunes. I'll encourage every other individual in existence to do likewise.

Does the N. Z. censorship board pertain to downloads or just broadcast TV?

I haven't been able to download and view the episodes from iTunes yet, but hope to purchase and see them by the weekend.
One question...are Web 1 and Enemy 3 the same copies that were used on the Lost in Time set, just with additional remastering? Or were the "new" copies located in Nigeria of better quality and are they used in place of the ones that already existed?

What do you think the chances are of the BBC animating WOF episode 3 for DVD release? I just bought it on itunes, but if they animated the missing one, I most certainly would buy it again.

Huge thank you to all in the recovery. I'm not gonna preten I know all of you, but I needed to say thanks from Minnesota, USA. My wife let me purchase Enemy, said only one. So I took all her charmed DVDs and said you get them back in 45 years. I just finished downloading Web:)
Also, I noticed at the bottom of the download it says Aug,1 2013....wonder if that's when the resteration took place?
One last note...not sure what Mr. Levene's tweet the other day meant about "having" to buy these for more episodes. I'm assuming its to maybe help fund the Africa search for more? I hope so.
Well, one more last thing...if there was a find in the future of Evil or Power, how easy is the Terry Nation estate to work with, if they even need to be on board for a release at all?
Much thanks

The story of how these were discovered, is coming up on BBC Breakfast (for those that can't wait for The One Show, later on tonight).

To anyone who ever contributed to the rediscovery or restoration of a classic Doctor Who episode:

Well that's a splendid result and no mistake - of course I also offer my thanks to everyone who contributed. Medals all round, including some for courage in the face of fandom - and a special mention to Mr. Vanezis for the neatest sidestep I've seen this year. If I might quote loosely - "I wish all of Web had been found...but it hasn't." Oh well - off to iTunes I suppose. Best Jim

Happy 50th everyone. This is the highlight of the anniversary.. Savor it and enjoy it. I cant see it topping this! The Enemy of the World followed by a massive dose of The Web of Fear. I know the average, sane, individual would say "steady on mate, it's just an old black & white tv show" but really, truthfully, for me, it's very hard to see how this is going to be in ANY RISK of being topped by anything else currently on the cards for the anniversary. I'm more happy today than the day I heard Tomb was back. And I wanted Tomb more than Christmas.

I stayed up until 2 am to watch all of Enemy.
Such a great story. Saving Web for the weekend.
