I still can't get Lostshow-which doesn't help-but here's a list of RCMP episodes apparently held by the BFI: 'The Smiling People'.(Suggested by Ray Langstone on the BFI 'Finds' thread). 'The Extortionist'. 'Day of Reckoning'. 'Number 34'. 'Longest Week of the Year'.
Added: Copies of 'Poisoned Pen','Crash on 21',and 'Bad Medicine' are circulating.

Is 'Violence at the Wedding' listed as missing?

A review on IMDB states that CBC showed this on Saturday mornings in the 1980s.If this isn't a typo,it suggests that there's hope that the series survives.

This was probably covered so far back it was on the old version of the forum - I think the Canadian National Archive held all of these, alongside all 39 Fabian Of The Yard, some otherwise missing Aggie and most of Sailor of Fortune; albeit the last series dubbed into French.
In fact I'm a little surprised this isn't covered in the Kal. guide since the Sailor Of Fortune and Fabian of the yard listings both have a note referencing the canadian holdings

Thanks for the reply,David.I hope that the CNA do hold these. The series looks a lot less silly than it sounds!

I believe all of it is in Canada.
This, the shows Orient Express and Seaway, amongst others, are classed as overseas productions, and much, if not all of them exist!
Just not in full in the UK.

Thanks,Ray. When I last managed to view Lostshows-months ago now-RCMP was listed,because it was a co-production?

Thanks,Ray. When I last managed to view Lostshows-months ago now-RCMP was listed, because it was a co-production? Ooh, ooh (in the style of Botch from the Hair Bear Bunch....).... The last time I looked for it three or four years ago RCMP wasn't on there and has since been added, so that's great! and....yes, I think it was a co-production.

I believe all of it is in Canada. This, the shows Orient Express and Seaway, amongst others, are classed as overseas productions, and much, if not all of them exist! Just not in full in the UK. Shown on the BBC July 1960-May 1961. For the record,a few months ago I phoned someone who's one of the UK's greatest collectors of RCMP material. It was his understanding that only the three (?) episodes copied on to DVD exist. He mentioned the name of a friend of his who's in charge of a Canadian archive and who's of the same opinion.Obviously, they're wrong, given that Lost Shows has five episodes known, and another one mute. Can anyone point to the Canadian archive which holds them all? An online site is offering: 'Gunslinger' which isn't listed on Lost Shows, though CTVA confirm it as an episode. 'Crash on 21'. 'Bad Medicine'. 'Poison Pen'. 'Thin Ice'. The last four are listed as missing. John Grima, who was a guest-star in the 'Violence at the Wedding' episode posted a few years ago that he has a copy of that one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ge21NjzMOOw
