'The Living Planet' - do the film elements still exist?

Obviously the programmes exist, but with the Bluray release of 'Life on Earth' and 'Trials of Life' last year, I was left wondering why 'Planet' had apparently been skipped over. Given when it was produced it did occur to me that it might have been edited on videotape rather than film, and thus that the film could no longer be around for an HD scan.

Does anyone know if this is the case?
