I did a search on the Forum for 'Billy Nicholls' and uncovered nowt. So this might interest a fair few here. It's on YouTube a while but it's a beauty. youtu.be/9jCmqSNVjAI

Cheers for that Thomas a very cool clip. Must admit I'd never heard of Billy Nicholls but have just checked out some other stuff on YouTube and it's really enjoyable psychedelic pop with great production. I feel a CD purchase coming on.

It's an excellent album (which did not receive a proper release at the time).

Cheers for that Thomas a very cool clip. Must admit I'd never heard of Billy Nicholls but have just checked out some other stuff on YouTube and it's really enjoyable psychedelic pop with great production. I feel a CD purchase coming on. His history is long and detailed (classic MEGA rare Immediate album, The Who periphery writer/member etc, etc) Liam. A star in the making he was. Just had Oldham at the helm which killed him. My favourite Nicholls track is 'London Social Degree' and when I was at AIR Studios last year at the vinyl cut of The Small Faces 'Ogdens..' album, a representative of Oldham/Immediate brought along an original two sided acetate (to show Kenny Jones) of 'Lazy Sunday' and 'London Social Degree'. The idea at the time (1968) was to release them as a double A-side because of the drugs reference. 'Lazy Sunday' was written Lazy Sun Day and 'London Social Degree' speaks for itself. It was almost a very cool piece of music history I never knew of.

Totally agree - one of the great 'lost' albums of the 60s. So many come with the hype but aren't backed up by the music. This one though is the real deal. Saw this clip on the big screen via a Whitehead retrospective - fantastic.
