This is a thread to give thanks to the restoration team and all they've done for us! Also, 18 days ago, they found a fantastic & unknown extra to put on the Zygons DVD. What could it be? They'll put it on the BBFC, but who could figure out what it is? Good day.

The chance of this sudden extra being anything to do with "missing" Doctor Who is hardly likely - they'd save it for a special edition for whichever the doctor the footage and/or telesnaps are from or something like that. This is probably just some recently discovered behind-the-scenes stuff or something. Anyway, where did you hear about this? I haven't found anything about it during my own searchs on the net.

I'd read about that. That was announced months ago, but I don't remember where I read it. This is just a more descriptive explanation of what it is.

I'd read about that. That was announced months ago. The extra item that jackw28 refers to wasn't. The DVD team only found out about its existence on 19 November.

Wasnt it the Babelcolour top secret project of last summer that is being added as an extra (ie colourisation of an unbroadcast b & w segment about a minute long)?

Incredible news! A minute from my favourite era of the show! Can't wait to see it. What are grading issues? And, I'll say it first, WILL THIS BE CANON? (Ducks and Hides)

Now, if you go on the restoration team website, and find the news feed, it will say that they found a fantastic and unknown extra to put on the DVD, it's completely unknown, it happened 18 days ago!

Interesting. It does say "archive footage" though, so it's unlikely to be anything missing that they've decided to put on the DVD for the fifty anniversary

Why does that require a sad face?

Well its something that was filmed for the episode but wasnt transmitted at the time, hence the excitement over the find.
