I've just noticed that there's been a recent Westward Television find of a Hogmanay show, which is going to be screened at the next Kal. event.(See the 'Stocking Full' thread). I'd been wondering about raising the subject of Hogmanay/New Year's shows for a little while, because I can't see much record of many surviving, despite looking for Kenneth McKellar,Moira Anderson, and the other usual suspects in the BFI catalogue. Does this mean: (1)I'm looking in the wrong places, and they're generally held in Scottish archives? (2)They were live and suffered the fate of many festive shows (it seems.Hic!) of not getting recorded? (3)Something else?
If only I'd started this thread a week ago. There goes a chance to say "You see?".

Then what on earth was I thinking of? Talk about not double-checking! (Or even checking). Apologies for that, and it won't happen again.I hope. You do realise that they could have repeated the same one year after year, and no-one would have been the wiser?
