According to this site, an interview on Nationwide is missing Extra 2 Nationwide - Previewing The Five Doctors: Jon Pertwee, Patrick Troughton, Peter Davison and Verity Lambert interviewed by Sue Lawley. Also Dalek in studio and clips. Source: BBC1 Date: March 17 1983 Exists: No ======================= Is it correctly listed as not existing? Maybe it should say Exists:Yes. Youtube certainly has it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQolJKding8

I think that information is a mistake. www.lostshows.com shows that 755 Nationwide episodes are in domestic video format, but none are missing. They would certainly love better quality formats, but the youtube clip is someone's Betamax copy. Loved watching it though. Troughton is a lot of fun in this one.

So there were being retained by Nationwide's production office as domestic formats?

Hi, this is my first post. Hurray!☺
Just wondering, at 3:03 there is a clip of two yetis from The Web of Fear. Is this clip from Episode 1? I have checked it with the known clips from Episodes 2, 4 and 5 but it isn't among them. Also, is the clip of Patrick Troughton after the Cyberman known to exist? There's no soundtrack so if it is unknown it will be impossible to identify.

The clip in question is the "Brigadier remembers" sequence from Mawdryn Undead.

Thanks Paul. But which episode is it from? And what of the Troughton scene?

Can I just ask... Just to throw it out there. Were there ever any video interviews of William Hartnell at all? I've read text based reviews, and have heard his opinion on Pertwee's Doctor from the Tomorrow's Times on The Ambassadors of Death.
If there's a video of Hartnell talking about Who, I'd love to know, as well as try to find a place I can see it.

www.lostshows.com shows that 755 Nationwide episodes are in domestic video format, but none are missing. I'm sure that Kal would be the first to admit that their listing is wrong / incomplete and needs updating. For starters, the series began in 1969 (not 1972) and although many editions do survive as domestic recordings, there will be lots of gaps as they do not cover all days for all years. For the other years, there will not be 2" masters for every edition either. The pilot and a clutch of early editions do survive as t/rs though (as well as a huge number of film inserts and a certain number on master tape). Somebody else will be able to fill in more details.

Thanks Paul. But which episode is it from? And what of the Troughton scene? Yeti scene is from Web Of Fear 1. The Mawdryn Undead clip is ep2 I believe accompanied by a great piece of music.

Thanks for clearing that up! Oh, what about the Troughton clip? I suppose that's from some other early existing episode.
