I guess no one would believe he had these missing episodes, so all he could do, was keep them in his house, and he doesn't even have a film projector

The ABC routinely replaced the BBC leaders on the films with their own, as I recall. In any case, an 'ABC print' would simply mean that it was 'ex-ABC' in the same way that the surviving copies of 'Tomb' are 'Hong Kong prints'.

It's very unlikely given that others have handed in prints. 2 turned up last year, so what's stopped him?
If you're being honest, you've probably been hoaxed I'm afraid. If you know it's true then you need to message Paul Vanezis. He will ensure things are done correctly.

The great thing about this story like most of the hoaxes is that for this to be confirmed there will be a process of at least a few weeks which will keep fans feverish and then... poof... we all find out we've been had.

Is Tenth Planet 4 there too? And Web of Fear 2 to 6 ? Don't be silly, he said there were only 24 episodes. That would make it 25. Now who's making up stories. Tut tut John!

Why is it a 'tiny possiblity'? What doubts do you have?

There's also a print of evil of the daleks 2, so that sort of makes 25, and no, there are no other prints, just the aforementioned.

jackw28 - contact Paul Vanezis as and when you have proof (and by proof I mean sight of the cans and tape, pictures of the film itself etc. etc.). But frankly, your friend is having you on in all probability, especially if he's told you he and his dad are big DW fans - if that's true, they would have turned these in a LONG time ago.
That's it - end of. Moderators, please lock the thread for obvious reasons.

Why is it a 'tiny possiblity'? What doubts do you have? There's the issue, if you've found the films in someone's house, where's the doubt? Is it because the films themselves may not be genuine, or is it just a weak hoax?
