Do you mean alternate or consecutive? In the 'Next week' section of the new RT 'An Adventure...' has got top billing, which usually indicates it's going to get the cover. I can't imagine Day of the Doctor not getting a cover or three so it looks like there'll be two Who covers in a row. Well, that's not bad going! Surely it must be on next week's cover? Though I was wondering about the potential sales from the black-and-white pound, provided they can squeeze pictures of various Doctors on the covers. Here's Hartnell! www.radiotimes.com/news/2013-11-16/doctor-who-50th-anniversary-celebrations-begin-with-12-radio-times-covers---see-the-first-one-hereSourced from Three Doctors, I think? Would have gone with a more vintage B&W still myself, like the GPO did. Sure hope Troughton isn't represented by Five Doctors. That hair ain't canon!

The overuse of Web Planet stills these days - there's loads of arresting visual designs and interesting characters in the Hartnell era, and those blasted bug men turn up once! Clearly historical shots are off the table, alas. Even though this was a definite hallmark of the era. John Ringham as Tlotoxl was and remains pretty arresting in The Aztecs, and would contrast with the more way out space monster stuff pretty nicely. But two Daleks? Where's the imagination! How about a Masterplan delegate, Koquillion, or an original issue Cyberman? Ah well.

Or rather, the accidentally uncredited actress Anna-Lisa Drew who plays her in this!

Not to me John, thanks for the tip! I wondered about those cameras - they are the real thing! This should help the actors/operators get the sense of heft and motion spot on! It should also help the modern viewers appreciate the constraints on making something as ambitious as Doctor Who with those behemoths in little more than a potting shed. That the odd camera or cable came into shot was the least of it, honestly. If the production team pushed the envelope any further, in terms of technical innovation on a minimalist budget, the GPO Tower would have fallen over! Now I'm left wondering how long before the merchandisers finally bring out a scale replica 60s console. Along with Yeti, that's been too long an oversight!

That'd be more like a defanged mutant wolf weed from Creature From The Pit, I think!

I'm really looking forward to watching this. Me too Andrew, very much! One of the things that had made me wonder was whether we were going to get a representative depiction of Hartnell the actor and the man, from the start of Who to his exit. When you're young and ignorant, it's easy to just laugh at him fluffing his lines and not think about why that might be. Early on, I get the sense it was a mix of his purposeful, eccentric performance and the pressures he was under making the show. Later, well, the events in his life and the changes in the show with cast leaving and production teams making him uncomfortable, plus his ill health, put a different complexion on things. That's why I was pleased to read this interview with the bloke playing him in AAISAT: www.radiotimes.com/news/2013-11-13/an-adventure-in-space-and-time-david-bradley-tells-rt-about-the-role-of-a-lifetimeIt is as reassuring to read as the knowledge of the clunky old cameras being real. Even with only 90 minutes to play with and a need to entertain, it seems Gatiss has done Billy proud. And if it's good enough for Jessica Carney, I think it'll pass muster for the rest of us!

I'm just interested in seeing how David Bradley portrays him, when I first heard the casting all I could think of was 'Why the hell is Stemroach playing the Doctor!'
However, having seen the trailers and the cast list announcements before that have made me proper excited now for it, I'm looking forward to seeing tid-bits of his episodes. I could happily watch another hour of it as they run a montage of each of his stories, it would be great to see a bit from the Savages, the Daleks' Masterplan, Galaxy 4, as well as Marco and the Web Planet.
I didn't even know this was tonight, I thought it was tomorrow night for some reason, I nearly would have missed it!

This is so amazing fantastic brilliant really great. Am lost for words as I write this. But this is better than anything I seen on telly like this in a long time. I loved the Steptoe & son thing a few years ago too.
