Ach, that's sad. The War Lord is possibly the best DW villian of all time. So wonderfully played - real menace and evil that makes most villianry on Who seem like pantomime in comparison.

Ah, what a shame. I really liked his acting in everything he did. At least he leaves behind a lot of good performances to enjoy again. It's been a bad week with Davy Jones going as well.

He was a great actor and always a welcome face on my television. What can I say? Terrible news

I met him within the last year or so - and at an unusual place. It was a study day in London on Biblical archaeology and he turned up as a paying attendee, only to be "nobbled" to do a couple of "readings" in that wonderful Welsh voice.

My aunt will be pleased ... he was far and away her favourite actor.
Sorry, did I mention that my aunt died a few years back ?

Very sad news.
I met Philip at the LFCC in 2009, very nice guy, although he was distracted a bit by Chloƫ Annett.

Rest in peace, Mr. Madoc. He was truly delightful on the Brain of Morbius commentary. You will be missed, sir.
