Hi everyone,
Just watched Invasion Of The Dinosaurs Ep 1 colour looks brilliant!!
When i was watching the special feature "Delated Scenes" the bit where the looter is picking up the money by the milk float it is in b&w is there chroma dots on that film? Could it be in colour or not?

I recall that some of the location filming inserts survive in b&w. Obviously they were film not video so wouldn't have chroma dots.

Why is this footage in b/w to begin with? Was it in b/w for the purposes of putting a rough cut / early edit together?

It's believed that it was put together to show during the rehearsals for Episode 1, and because of that, a b/w copy of the footage was cheaper than a colour one.

Presumably all the location footage would have been copied in b/w for that same reason...? Having now seen the DVD, I realised that Prime TV screened the extended part three in 2001. Pity I didn't record it at the time ...
