with the recovery of the galaxy 4 and the underwater menace episodes, and the recently discovered (although already recovered) romans episode, and wasnt there someone who found a copy of the chase? the futures looks promising. i get the feeling that a few more episode may turn up in the next few years! heres to 2012. and keep up the hard work restoration team!

True, and I'm also pleased that The Romans (I think I've got this right) copy contains elements which can improve the copy previously discovered. While 'upgrading' obviously isn't as exciting as finding a missing episode,it's another reason to be cheerful.

i get the feeling that a few more episode may turn up in the next few years! Let's hope that is the case. I was hoping that as a film collector, Mr. Burnett would have been able to provide a few good leads to other film collectors that might have Doctor Who episodes. Even though it is a long shot, a few different leads might eventually lead to something nice.

I'm surprised in recent years that collecters aren't more aware of what officially exists, considering the spread of online sites listing them.

Ive long been of the opinion that theres still lots of missing telly, who included, out there waiting to be found. I think an excellent year like 2011 goes some distance towards demonstrating this. Guarded optimism is a fair outlook. As for specifically who recoveries, I dont think the show is over yet

The film collector who returned episode 3 of The Faceless Ones and episode 2 of The Evil of the Daleks didn't know those were missing. The guy who returned The Lion didn't know it was missing. Wasn't Mr. Burnett a former BBC employee? He didn't know any Hartnell or Troughton episodes were missing. With online sites and even some articles appearing in newspapers over the years, I don't know how else to spread the message in a cost effective way.

The print of 'Conspiracy' found last year is inferior to the copy held by the BBC. See: missingepisodes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=who&thread=6390&page=2#62257Regards, Richard
