There were two different shows.
The Tom Jones Show ran from around 66 to 67 and This Is Tom Jones followed from about 68 untill 71.
As far as I know Jimi Hendrix didn't appear on either.
Although around that time for ATV he was on the Dusty Springfield Show and Jonathan King's music show 'Good Evening'.
I would have thought that there might be some telerecordings to fill out some of the gaps in the original run of tapes.

just found another show called 'Jones the song' LWT Tom Jones spectacular from 68 featuring Dusty as guest singing "close my eyes and count to ten" . The show has a monochrome listing however have definitely seen a PAL from that era of "count to ten"

Great clip from the This is Tom Jones March 1969 which was quite a eclectic mix including Georgia Brown, Paul Anka and Mary Hopkins.
