I believe all 77 and 78 shows exist. Certainly, lostshows suggests this.

I believe all 77 and 78 shows exist. Certainly, lostshows suggests this. I wouldn't rely on that though, Ray. I was given to understand that most New Faces had been wiped officially save a handful of eps. So these recordings may well be missing. Chris Perry will know, i'd think.

cgi.ebay.co.uk/23-Philips-N1500-N1700-Video-Tapes-Vintage-TV-/170663921102Regarding these tapes, I messaged the seller to see if they had any idea what might be on them. This is the reply I received. "These were my Fathers tapes and would have been used for general recording up to the point VHS arrived, therefore they could have anything on them from films to the Two Ronnies shows etc."So probably late 70's material. Might have some odd continuities or trailers in there of interest? Bit of a gamble I know.

These same tapes with same description and photos were listed a few weeks ago. They ended at over £100!

It doesn't like the winner paid for them as they're not showing in the sellers feedback.
No sign of them in Completed Listings either, although that only includes sales from the last 15 days.
It'll be interesting to see what they go for this time. I certainly won't be bidding three figures for them...
