Now TV Centre is up for sale, i hope someone will be in charge of checking offices, cupboards etc: to check for unreturned films and given Blue Peter is moving it today, it might be worth asking them to check thier cupboards (were they not the last to hold 10th planet 4), this can be fruitful as i believe when Pebble Mill was being closed down they found 10 years worth of missing episodes of the archers

Given that ex-Blue Peter editor Richard Marson is a Doctor Who fan (having produced many features for Doctor Who Monthly among other things), I think the chances of them having any missing episodes in any of their cupboards is non-existent, given the number of years he worked there.
And no, the absence of The Tenth Planet #4 has nothing to do with Blue Peter!

thank you for the info richard, maybe i being a bit flipant using the word cupboard prehaps i should have said store rooms etc but, obviously in the Blue Peter case the outcome will be the same

And no, the absence of The Tenth Planet #4 has nothing to do with Blue Peter! Richard, I thought I read years ago it was never officially junked and that it was taken out of an archive for the purpose of putting an episode of Blue Peter together and was never officially checked back in. So is it a myth that last documented sighting of part 4 of The Tenth Planet was when it was signed out by a 'J. Smith' who was working in the Blue Peter Office when the footage from the regeneration scene was included in a documentary about Doctor Who? Or do you mean that nothing will be found because Blue Peter has shifted its office several times since that time? Or both? Was it actually officially junked unlike the other episodes, or is it a mystery what happened to the episode?
