Slightly off topic, but if you are interested in watching obscure BBC 1960s documentaries, you can get them weekly on BBC Alba on thursday nights at 9pm.
Last night there was a one hour documentary from 1962, with another from 1969 next week.
If you want to watch it in full screen rather than in a box in the middle of the screen, you have to switch the Sky box to 4:3 for the duration. This station does not crush or talk over the end credits, and has an invision announcer too!
Usually BBC Alba programmes are in some sort of foriegn language, but these vintage BBC docs are broadcast in English.

Thank you for pointing that out, Simon. Always good to know when archive TV is on. As an ex-Scot resident, Alba shows a lot of programmes in Gaelic. Always remember my first day in Scotland (Inverness, rather than Gretna....) turning on the TV in the hotel room and watching the Grampian News in Gaelic.... (gets misty eyed....) AND BEING EVEN MORE OFF-TOPIC (whereas, I don't think you were Simon), why don't they show programmes in Scots (meaning ""Scottish-English"" ?). I mean Rab C Nesbitt had a bit of ""dialec"" (leid) as did Chewin the Fat, but....anyway, I can go on and on about this ....
