It doesn't seem to have been widely reported; but I thought that fans of Top Of The Pops would be interested, if not a little sad to hear about the death at the weekend of Producer Robin Nash who for several years produced the show.
He was fondly remembered for sporting a bow tie. Ironically it is his era that is currently being repeated on BBC4 at the moment.
As well as Producing Top Of The Pops, he also Directed programmes like Dixon Of Dock Green, and many situation comedies like Bread and No Place Like Home.

What a very sad loss here indeed.Very saddened to hear of his passing.Just look at all the people his work has touched, and continues to touch to this very day.In that BBC4 is re-screening his material at the moment does seem a tad ironic here.
Thank You Robin for giving us all these gems, wishing some of his missing editions-material may turn up?You never know....
Rest In Peace Robin!

The Rube's were sorry to hear of his passing. Nash gave them an enormous break with that first television appearance in place of Sparks. RIP
