Does anyone have any details regarding a Kenneth Horne programme on ITV which I remember seeing as a kid? It was in the late sixties and I have a feeling it aired not long before his death. I can remember no details apart from the fact that it was on when little boys of my age should have been in bed; and I recall one (only one) feeble joke where Horne is reading a news item about a man "who had set a new world record by eating 14 tombstones. He beat the existing record by 14..." As I say, pretty feeble but obviously appealed to a 9 or 10 year old boy!

That would be "Horne A Plenty". There were two series (ABC: 5 eps 1968 and Thames: 6 eps 1968-69). No episodes proper are thought to survive but a VT reel (shot in colour) of the rehearsal for the 25/12/68 Christmas edition turned up a few years ago and was unveiled at Missing Believed Wiped. I was there myself when it was screened. Be good if more was uncovered.
