Hi all, I heard that there was a 3rd Peter Cushing film made that was based on The Chase but was lost in a fire before it was shown. This video is about the movie is this the only existing footage of this film and could it still survive somewhere? www.youtube.com/watch?v=josI9YR45dIThanks Simon

Didn't they have the rights to make three films ?

My understanding is subotsky had the rights to make 3 Dalek Films, but never made the 3rd. However, my memory may be faulty on this.

There's never been any evidence that they ever had the rights to do any more than two - and the whole idea that The Keys of Marinus or The Chase would have been the next adaptation are nothing more than fan rumours.
Subotsky did make a pitch to do a third un-adapted film, but that wasn't until the mid-1980s.

I think they didn't make it because the 2nd film didn't make much money.

The returns for 2150AD were still healthy. It was more down to Max Rosenberg's complacency than anything. Subotsky saw the potential in doing films based on fantasy characters like Batman and Captain Marvel and he encouraged Rosenberg to go after the rights, but Rosenberg couldn't be bothered.

You can clearly see the CGI. I didn't think that was around in the 1960s ?
