Seller in Preston + listed mobile number in advert = Darren Gregory.
It's also very curious that when Mr Gregory sets up new personas here, he seldom uses capital letters either...

The advert has capital letters - has it been revised ? The point is that Darren posts here under multiple accounts, usually setting up a new one to "reveal" something fresh. However, when he posts here, he seldom manages to use capital letters - as per the post at the top of this thread from newbie "betarecons". And of course, it was only a few weeks ago that Darren was here telling us how soory he was for hoaxing in the past, how he really didn't have anything and how sad he was about the whole thing... Anyhow, here's a blast from the past from CT in 1995. Darren up to his old tricks, once again in Loot.

The problem with something like this, is that if a genuine lead ever does turn up, there's a good bet many people will dismiss it as another Darren Gregory Idiocy. The really remarkable thing is that the other Infamous Hoaxers did what they did, then gave it a rest. Ainsworth and Barrett and the rest of them hung it up long ago, but Darren Gregory is STILL fabricating supposed leads all these years later....

Simon has it. I wonder what slips through the net because of the attitudes of some people around here. I remember when I first found out that so much was missing from 'A Celebration' by Peter Haining and how sad I was then and how sad I am now still. What do we lose by being cynical and aggressive even if understandable? How much might go back underground?
DG reported having 'Tomb' before it was officially found and was attacked for claiming it. I was offered 'Tomb' in late 1991/early 1992 by the source I was using at the time. I think it was £100 an episode but I couldn't afford that, even if my Mum would have let me. Perhaps he speaks the truth?
