Can anyone offer any information as to the archive status of Nationwide's one and only foray into Skateboarding- namely their competition for budding skateboarders in 1977? If I remember correctly, it garnered it's own slot and was filmed at the legendary Skate City in London.
Anyone know of any other period pieces of UK skateboarding action from the mid-70's- wasn't there a couple of feature films (London Skateboarders? being one)
Thank you
S

I do remember one oft shown short feature on skateboarding shown often in Summer Holiday mornings in the late 70's.
Accompanied by Althea and Donnas 'Uptown top rankin' it shows a young kid skateboarding around the streets of South London, finally reaching a skateboard park.
I'm not sure there was much of a storyline to it, just the kid getting from A to B on his skateboard.
Can anyone supply a name for this ??
