:)Can anyone help - Iam looking for a copy of the New Years Eve showing of Ready Steady Go 1964. I was there at the time and the acts appearing were Rolling Stones, Kinks, Dusty Springfield, PJ Probey, Beau Brummel & Dave Clark Five. If anyone can help I would be glad to hear from you or if anyone knows where or how I can get a copy. Many Thanks Cyril

Unless it is on the VHS/ video discs that were released in the 1980s or it was shown on CH4 also in the 1980s. Then you might be out of luck Cyril ?
Dave Clark bought up what was left of RSG and keeps his cards close to his chest ,so nobody outside his circle really knows what he has aquired? The BFI at Berkhampsted are thought to have some material but apparently its not on their radar at the moment as something important to go into.
hope that is of some help?

Is there anyway of contacting Dave Clark to enquire if it is at all possible to acquire this. As I was there at the time it would be good to get this. Thanks for your reply

Absolutely no chance whatsoever of ever getting anything out of Dave Clark International.

I'm pretty sure that a very brief clip of The Kinks on this edition (in front of the backdrop "The New year Starts here"!) appeared in Julian Temple's recent Imagine programme on Ray Davies. You might be best off trying to contact Temple.

I wish Dave Clark would sanction possible dvd releases of RSG that he currently owns the rights to Maybe a coincidence but no Ready Steady Go shows have been broadcast or released since Sandie Shaw went public in 2000 that artists weren't paid repeat fees.
