I regularly advertise in local newsagents windows for old video tapes and home movies. All I get are abusive phone calls from school kids!

I see what they do is this, when a seller offers any philips N1500 or N1700 tapes certain ones of here email the seller and ask to buy direct, i know this is true because i contacted the seller of EBAY item 250769508367 who informed me that he did indeed was contacted AFTER the auction and was offered a higher price of the 99p end price, why do they do dirty tricks like this, why dont they bid like everyone else instead of gazumping ones who are genuine bidders, but instead are overtaken by cheats who will do anything to get the tapes, by hook or by crook. anyway i have aske ebay now to investigate every email the sellers get so ebay can then see this does indeed go on and it WILL BE STOPPED I am working with ebay to make sure bidders get what they bid for, so remmeber when you offer the seller higher prices, or to buy off ebay you are now being monitored

* This is not the ebay complaints forum. Stop whining. * What are you warning us for? You're suggesting someone on this forum does that sort of thing? That's a very random accusation to make. * Ebay sellers are obliged to sell to the highest bidder. A trustworthy seller will simply ignore messages from cheaters. If not, then it is the seller's fault also. (I for one would get very suspicious if the seller would suddenly back out after I've won the item.) * I don't want ebay checking all the messages I send, ever heard of privacy? * Mods who is this guy? Why does he have 6 posts but only 1 visible?

I know who this guy is and ebay are now watching the guy C***S you know who it is AND SO DO I i dont like cheats who go around gazumping bidders on ebay in an effort to get items they bid on, there was 5 tapes on ebay today and straight away the conman emailed the seller asking him to tell the winner he made a mistake so that he could get the tapes, ebay were informed and this was STOPPED im going to keep a very strict watch on any video tapes from any system and inform ebay to watch the accounts of some guy called C***S I dont like cheats, WOULD YOU LIKE IT DONE TO YOU?? I DONT im going to list a few tapes and wont tell you who i am and when you email me asking me to end early or sell for cash then ebay will be sent the emails to stop this evil gazumping, its not fair on the other bidders. you are not the only ones bidding

I'm locking this thread.
I'm sure this does go on, and there are indeed some quite persistent EBay buyers who think they can ride roughshod over the system. But this is not the place to have a rant about it.
