It's not a missing episode (otherwise how would they be showing it?), but BBC4 is tonight repeating the documentary about live television that first went out on Thursday. It's at 9pm and is followed by a 1956 ep of the Grove Family (also shown on Thursday night). No sign of the rather good 1963 Z Cars that was shown on Thursday, though.
Just thought you'd like to know...

Interesting to compare the remaining TV episodes of 'The Grove Family with the film version. There is a priceless moment in the film when grumpy Gran Grove issues her ultimate threat whilst gently prodding with her stick. I'd think with the right audience in the NFT, a double bill would be quite good fun.

Interesting to compare the remaining TV episodes of 'The Grove Family with the film version. How many remain? Discussions I'd heard elsewhere suggested that there were no more than 2 or 3.

Generally accepted as two remaining, including that final nautical edition.

i assume it went out live? I thought it was well done, and still entertaining!
Liked all the hidden messages about burglaries hidden in the script.

i assume it went out live? I thought it was well done, and still entertaining! Liked all the hidden messages about burglaries hidden in the script. Hidden? They were as subtle as a flying sledgehammer, and anyone who didn't work out the moment he appeared that the passer-by was a wrong 'un needs to be lashed to a chair and beaten with a side-handled baton. It was all rather fun, though. I particularly liked the sniffy reference to Double Your Money (an ITV show).
