Dear Mark Sorry for the delay in replying. Bieng now 48 years of age I can honestly say I watched "Fury From The Deep" in 1968. Very scary it was then! Wether returned material is how I remember it is down to the vagueries of memory. I can't be more honest than that. Alan Smith

Yes it turns out that it is Episode 4 retitled as Episode 3. I later learned this on the technical restoration forum so it is good to discover this sooner rather than later. If I had known that part first I wouldn't have posted about it. I have heard about hoaxes too. I think they are discussed in the passage on missing episodes in "25 Glorious Years". But that is because someone in the 1980's in Australia or NZ set up a false post office box and had fans send in money for the episodes that didn't really exist. So unless someone is asking for something in exchange, there is probably not much to worry about. And as I am a law student, I don't approve of fraudulent activity myself. Anyway, someone wrote to me and told me that lots of Doctor Who episodes that were the only ones that existed in colour were found in Canada and sent back to the BBC when the main searching went on in the 1980's. It would be good if more material could turn up in Canada at some point. daaaaamn ah well never mind do you have anything else perhps you can help, there was a pop program on CBC called "where its at", "guess who" used to play on it a lot have you heard of this program or perhaps seen it around the mid to late 60s?
