As omeone who would like very much to be a Dennis Price completist it seems my man was hit rather hard by the Believed Wiped cull - all but one of the World of Woosters, Dennis Potter's Confidence Course, all but one of the It's A Deals with Sid James etc, not to mention the infrequent screening of his films. I was wondering therefore whether Colonel Trumper's Private War went the same way, what the present recovery state is with the items mentioned above (I know one It's a Deal was recently returned), and whether anyone had any thoughts on the loss of these priceless items generally (pardon the inexcusable pun).

In Ian Carmichael's biography ("Will the real Ian Carmichael...") he mentions two episodes of World of Wooster being taken by Frank Muir on 16mm to show PG Wodehouse at his home on Long Island. Is this a lead?

I bought a Westinghouse Studio One which Dennis Price plays the lead in.
I don't know whether it is missing, or indeed if any of the series is missing, but it's not a bad 16mm kinescope.
Regards,
Paul
