This performance mentioned above is not Hits A Go Go vodpod.com/watch/1376992-marc-bolan-laser-loveIt's from Granada TV's series The Arrows. One of The Arrows is introducing the performance. The performance of Hot Love features the legendary BP Fallon miming the bongos with Mickey Finn.

To add to the list of "Hits A GoGo" performances...
I've got 5 x 1-hour compilations from the colour shows on tape - these are occasionally broadcast on German TV. These include Amen Corner ("Hello Suzie"), Joan Baez, Dalida, Lynsey De Paul, Carl Douglas ("Kung Fu Fighting"), The Equals, Fanny, Julie Felix, Golden Earring, Elton John ("Border Song"), Gladys Knight, Middle of the Road, Mixtures, Mud, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Barry Ryan, Shocking Blue, Slade ("Look Wot You Dun"), Stealers Wheel, Donna Summer, Three Degrees, Ike & Tina Turner, The Wombles, 10CC, to name but a few...
Also, the same show I got the Who's "The Seeker" from (called "OPA Oldie Parade") also showed a rather nice b/w clip of Canned Heat doing "Going Up The Country".

I've got the Amen Corner from BRmusic and it's so good; lovely colour. Must dig them out. I think Andy Kim is on there too. Black and white.

What songs do 10cc perform, Steve? Haven't seen too many really early appearances by them.

Steve, may I ask where you got these tapes from? Did you acquire them from the archives of Swiss TV? Or maybe from German TV? Anybody knows if this is from Hits à gogo? Could be, but I'm not sure.

I've just checked and the compilations I have are 7 x 45mins. They were shown on N3 (satellite version of NDR) weekly 11/10/94 thru 22/11/94. Quite what the criteria for inclusion was I don't know as the compilations include quite a bit of old rubbish and miss out stuff like (e.g.) the T Rex HAGG clips. Your picture looks like it could well be from HAGG - I have just flicked thru an old compilation and they had people in the background just like in your photo. The same edition had a dreadful act called Les Humphries Singers on it (anybody who has ever exchanged pop tapes with Germany will know this bunch) - I thought these people might be some of them, dancing along to another number? Interestingly, HAGG wasn't exclusively from Swiss TV - the end credits say it was a co-production with SWF Baden-Baden.

I remember Terry Dectyl & the dinosaurs - On a saturday night I'd like to see that one again! Never seen a performance by them since the time Seaside Shuffle was a hit (apart from a couple of TOTP photos from a wiped edition).

The photo is definitely Hits a Gogo, The Les Humphries Singers were on the show on numerous occasions, I too taped those shows from N3 onto S-VHS tape. They did indeed show many clips from Hits a Gogo on the Oldie Parade, I remember a great performance from Greyhound-Black & White (the song not the footage). www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCBcxD3Xddg All the songs were lip synced which is good because they can be overdubbed with a decent sound track. I think there are more episodes of Hits a Gogo in existence than people realize. Here is a Guys & Dolls clip (There's a Whole Lot of Lovin') from 1975, judging from the quality of the audio it is from that popular Dutch music DVD company. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ha4_xC8PZcw

I'm trying to track down a performance by a German band (from Bonn) called "The Guards" on 'Hits a Gogo' recorded on June, the 30th, 1969. If anyone has footage, or a link to footage of that performance, please let me know. They performed thier cover of "I put a Spell on you" which reached Number 17 on the Swiss charts in the same year. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Apparently the show on June 30th, 1969 also featured performances by Julie Fenix and Michael Polnareff. If anyone has a tape of this show I will be happy to pay for digitalised footage of it

I think much of them must exist, because i've seen a boatload of clips from this show from various locations, throughout it's run. The first part of this clip contains a Jurgen Marcus peformance from the show from 1973: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7P5ODZil9Yc
