Slightly odd question this, but someone might be able to help?
Does anybody know which foreign radio stations broadcast the BBC's Paul Temple radio series?
BBC Transcription Services sold a great many episodes of Paul Temple overseas. I've got a list of them. However, the paperwork showing the actual sales information has become lost.
In short, I know what was sold, but I don't know who bought it.
CBC Radio in Canada perhaps? Any ideas?
Thanks: Charles Norton

CBC broadcast at least one 'home-made' Paul Temple serial in the 1940s starring Bernard Braden - they still have it in their archives, but it 'wasn't of broadcastable quality' when I asked a few years ago. Germany and Holland also made their own versions. Not quite what you asked, Charles, but just thought I'd share! Stuart

I found a reel to reel tape earlier this year with "Paul Temple" material listed. Have no idea if any of this material is existing or not. Here is the content list on the inside of the box which states:
"Paul Temple: The Conrad Case (1200',BBC) Episode 1:The Man From Munich Episode 2:Concerning Elliott France Episode 3:Hotel Roemer (skip) Episode 4:A Visit to Innsbruck Episode 5:A Dry Martini Episode 6:Concerning Captain Smith Episode 7:Coffee for Miss Conrad Episode 8:Person Unknown
All listed to be (27m),am guessing this is referring to the duration of each episode.
Any assistance or info here would be much appreciated indeed.Again, is somewhat related to the topic of this thread. Have heard of the 1940's editions, have heard good things about these.Again, any info on this reel would be much appreciated if at all possible.
Cheers,Lance.

Paul Temple and the Conrad Case was broadcast in 1959. All eight episodes survive in the BBC archive. It sounds like you must have a copy of one of the 'international versions' created by BBC Transcription Services.
Actually Paul Temple and the Conrad Case in on this week on BBC Radio 7.

There's nothing there that springs instantly to attention. There's certainly no big-hitters, but I'd have to check in a bit more depth to be sure about them all. The Goons episodes survive and the Sherlock Holmes. I've checked. I'm not sure about all the rest though.

The episodes of 'The Men From The Ministry' which you mention certainly don't exist in the BBC Sound Archives, as the BBC hold almost NO recordings from that show prior to 1970 (series 1 to 5), and very few recordings of any description prior to series 12 (1976).
These are the episodes held by BBC (and broadcast on BBC Radio 7) -

Lance, I would be particularly interested to hear the episode of The Men From The Ministry called 'Miss Chatterly's Lover'. This is one of four episodes, all previously lost, that featured John Laurie. In three of those, including this one, he played Mr. Dougal, who was apparently a stand in lead replacing Deryck Guyler who was unable to take part in the three episodes. Is there any possibility you might be able to upload Miss Chatterly's Lover for us to download and listen to it please? Thanks.
