I enjoyed most of what I saw on BBC Four's sixties archive night last night, I only wish there were more regular dips into the tv vaults.
Regarding the main documentary (The Truth About Sixties TV, or whatever it was called, I forget now), there was a piece of music in it which I have heard in other BBC productions. It cut in when they started talking about outside broadcasts, continuing into the piece about the climbing of the Old Man Of Hoy.
Does anyone know the name of this track and if it is available anywhere?
Thanks in advance!

If you mean the slinky bit of a hammond fest, then it could well be
"come one Come all" by Syd Dale 1969. From ' Amphonic Music' suppliers of stock music in the 1960s.
much of this amazing stuff was released on CDs in the 1990s when 'easy' became fashionable....., so happy hunting

'Come One Come All' is available on a CD called 'Ready Steady Boogaloo', which is easily pickuppable for cheap.
Alternatively, it's on one of Amphonic's own CDs, AVF 124 'Kitsch UK' - if you ask them nicely they might sell you one.
Hopefully someone taped this for me, so I may be able to confirm whether this is the piece you are on about.
