Looks like a missing episode of Ratcatchers has turned up. There was one and a half eps known to exist - ep 1 Ticket to Madrid and the film footage of Achilles Heel.
Somebody has uploaded ep3 - The Unwitting Courier to a BitTorrent filesharing site.

This is really excellent news! I remember the series well and always wanted to see something from it again. I hope we get to do this. I understand at the moment that the version available is a (very good) VHS standard copy - let's hope the 16mm print is returned eventually too as we need more of things like this back in the archives!
It just proves that Rediffusion stuff IS out there somewhere...

I have maintained that there is a good selection of 'missing' Associated Rediffusion programmes yet to be found within the U.K., though it is time that will tell, and this find is a really good example. The same goes for ABC Television and other ITV programmes from the past.
It is a near certainty that there are Rediffusion programmes held somewhere in the U.S.A., because a few have been returned to the archives from the States.
Yours,

Indeed. It's a place that hasn't really been scoured in relation to Rediffusion material.
This one is a strong discovery, getting 2009's recoveries going well and truly!

Will probably do the same, when I finally get around to watching my copy - which is now safely stripped, of the chrominance signal (although I appreciate, one can just turn down the colour...).

It would be good if Network did an occasional "archive recoveries" DVD and included such things as this. We can dream....

I quite enjoyed this episode. It was a little talky, but I get the impression they were laying the ground for future story developments and setting up the characters and so forth. It was an interesting watch and it would be intriguing to know how the story progressed. Im certainly glad I saw it. Top marks to whoever shared this good bit of 60s tv
