I hate to shatter any illusions about the Gallery, but here goes...My father-in-law was a producer/director at BBC Bristol and did a stint on 'Vision On' in the early 70s. If they were short of decent paintings/drawings, he'd 'commission' a few from his daughter (the current Mrs Barfe). L

The Prof actually came out of retirement in 2001 for a special video made by the PPS. David Cleveland and his colleagues Tony Amies and Dave Wyatt talked extensively about the making of the original Prof films (many of which are included on the video) and included some brand new material. The PPS website has the details. www.pps-tv.co.uk

Thanks for the plug for PPS, Led!
We did indeed spend a happy weekend with Cleveland, Wyatt and Amies a few years back recording an interview. David C is now Head of the East Anglian Film Archive in Norwich, David W is probably known to many of you already as a film researcher and collector and Tony Amies has retired. The interview was the first time they'd all met up together since they stopped shooting films for VISION ON (all done completely freelance by the way, and sold to rather than made by the BBC) so the weekend was soggy with nostalgia. A magical moment indeed when David C donned his labcoat again for the first time in nearly 25 years.
