Hello all, first time posting.

i remember once reading several years ago about a group of people placing an ad looking for any unwanted old film, people were looking just to get rid of, they then stored them somewhere and sorted through them looking for lost episodes of anything.

being over here in the U.S. i never heard anything more about this. i was wondering if they ever recieved anything or just ended up getting a bunch of useless film of home movies and such.

What exactly are you asking? There are a lot of people who collect film and who buy collections -- I've probably had 25,000 films go through my hands in the last 10 years.

Just have a look at ebay and you see hundreds of prints for sale.

Missing TV episodes do turn up from time to time, but buying random batches of film is more likely going to find you a lot of non-missing stuff...
