Discovered Photo " Image Of The Fendahl" Tech-Opps

Hello Again,

Was looking at the tech opps site, and saw a rather interesting article on a rare looking Doctor Who photo posted from the above mentioned story:

"In early 2008 Werner Schmitz sent me this photo of the crew on a Dr Who series called Image of the Fendahl. It was taken in November 1977. I added the numbers and asked lots of people if they could name the faces. This gave several weeks of email pleasure, and the list below may or may not be the final result.

There is also a duplicate photo, but in colour from the same photo session apparently under the first pictured number.

They're not new, Lance. They've been around for years and have been published several times - in the Howe/Stammers/Walker tome The Seventies from the early eighties for one!

Ah, many thanks for clearing that up there Richard, many thanks for the info as well, much appreciated.

First time I have seen them, look quite neat, and thought people here might like to see them as well, who may not have already seen them previously.

Sorry to be a pedant, Richard, but the Howe/Stammers/Walker book "The Seventies" was published in the early nineties - not the eighties... ;-)

ha, I thought Id seen the Pic at least in the mid 80's somewhere.. I may have bought is as a "slide"

So what's the story about the "discovery" It'll make for an interesting chapter in my book (in progress) about wel.. lets call em Newbies, who "find" old Tv/Radio on the internet (which is older then them so in thier eyes it holds EVERYTHING)11

For instance, considering you are writing a book, your short post contains at least three spelling errors and (almost) no meaningful punctuation.

Yep cant spell, and I'm compiling a book for a friend who has no interest in missing anything but finds the whole psychology of the "fans" who continue to "find" things via the net.
Not just missing epps mind you. that's just a side line he's asked me to look into.
It's actually very interesting, The whole "net" phenomenon, and how a whole league of "researchers" Now ONLY use the net, and the demise of real hands on researcher !

I mean for instance take a subject like Glenn millers AAF band" or "the Goon show" or any of a thousand topics I could (and as a broadcaster, used to) talk about for day's at a lengh. almost 2% of what I know is anywhere on the net, as I'm a "Pre Internet" kinda Guy. now there's a slew of Docos made by very important comapines who's whole idea of rescerch is "look it up on wikpedia" Is that wrong? I think so.

I'm not entirely sure it's true either - what specific documentaries did you have in mind?

And Ron Bowes point is correct, regardless of what kind of book you are or aren't writing/researching/helping a mate out with.

It's easy but not at all helpful to be sarcastic to another poster - a new poster who might one day turn something new up is likely to be put off by attitudes such as yours.

In this case, it's doubly inappropriate since Lance is an excellent and always interesting contributor to this message board - something which is not true of certain other posters.

Finally, there is a spell check function directly beneath the text box where you type your messages - might I suggest genuinely that you use it as your posts are very difficult to make sense of at times.
