That's a cool Donavan clip.
It's from the U.S. variety show Hollywood Palace.

I can identify: Freda Payne-from the syndicated US series "Something Else". Have never come across this series "something else" can anyone shed any light on this ? Reviving an old thread....Something Else was a syndicated US program.Ran for two seasons-first run was early 1970,hosted by John Byner, and the second series,in the fall of 1970,until 1971 was hosted by folk singer John Hartford. The series was filmed-in color-on various locations across the USA.It appears the shows still exsist on color film, but the circulating copies vary widely in quality. The episodes were a half-hour each.Guests include-The Flying Burrito Brothers(w/Gram Parsons),Poco,Country Joe & the Fish,Freda Payne,Dr.John,Rick Nelson, the Beach Boys,Bobby Bloom,Steppenwolf,Iron Butterfly,Creedence Clearwater Revival,Blues Image,Bobbi Martin, the Ides Of March, and MANY others...

This is *not* Christie, but Australian band Jigsaw taking advantage of the Australian 1970 Radio Ban with their own version of "Yellow River". Another Australian band, Autumn, also had a local hit with that song.
