Richard Molesworth's list available from the RT site shows which countries missing stories are known to have been sold to. Similarly, there's a table in the Second Doctor Handbook of the countries all the Troughton stories were sold too.
But I can't find a list of which countries surviving Hartnell stories were sold to. Can anyone fill in the gaps for me?
Cheers P

If you have a look through previous post in this section of the forum, I recall that Doug Wolf posted an accurate list of what is currently known about the overseas sales and subsequent circulation of 16mm prints. Go have a look

Hmm, I've been through all Doug's posts for this year and last but all I can see are lists of countries to which missing episodes were sold (based on Richard M's original list), but not which countries bought existing/recovered stories.
Any ideas, anyone?

Sorry dude, i'll have a dig around and try and find you a link; be aware though that current knowledge is not complete! Its still being researched with the available material at the disposal of the community! Whatever your avenue of research is, good luck!

I saw mention that Paul Vanezis has been researching overseas sales so maybe it is a case of, at this time, it's not completely known what was sold where.
Thanks for your help, gh.

As far as im aware, that is very much the case. Some of the documentation is non extant and some of it cant be accessed for legal reasons as I understand it. Doesnt make things any easier!! Some of the movements and sales of prints are well known, some are obscure.

If you've got access to old DWMs and The eight Complete [x] Doctor Specials, the Andrew Pixley archive features usually listed all the (known) countries each serial was sold to.

Brilliant idea! Thanks, Jon.
Sadly I gave up on DWM in the mid-90s (just when the in-depth Archives were getting going - how I regret that now!). But I've just been through the First Doctor Special and filled in a few gaps, so that was a great help, ta.
Still don't have overseas sales for The Daleks, Edge of Destruction, Keys of Marinus, Aztecs, Sensorites, Dalek Invasion, Rescue, Romans, Web Planet, Space Museum, Time Meddler, The Ark and Gunfighters.
Anyone?

One thing though, if the information was from the mid 90s it is entirely possible that it is of variable accuracy. I think a few things have been revised since then. Correct me if im wrong about that.

Correct me if im wrong about that. The Complete [X]th Doctor Specials updated and corrected the information that was in the original DWM Archives, yes. But in terms of sales data, there was little if any change from what was previously given.

Any ideas, anyone? Cheers P Yes, I merely rearranged the information in Molesworth's article on the overseas sales of stories with missing episodes. I wish more detailed information on all sales in the 1960s would be published. Also, Paul Vanezis was looking into the situation with the bicycling of prints and will hopefully share some details about that too sometime.

Between the DWM First Doctor Special and the back issues of Disused Yeti available on the Pamela Nash Experience site, I've managed to fill in many of the gaps.
I'm now just missing the overseas buyers of: The Daleks, Edge of Destruction, Aztecs, Time Meddler, The Ark and Gunfighters.
Is there anyone with the relevant DWM archives who could help me out, or even the inestimable Mr Pixley himself?
Cheers Paul

Funny you should ask, as I was just looking at the Archive for The Gunfighters It says it was sold to Australia (with some dead bodies edited out), the Caribbean, Zambia, Sierra Leone and Singapore.
