Ah, that could explain the gap between 06/02/05 and 20/02/05 - I thought that didn't look right!

I think there were 4 heats a womens final, a mens final and a masters final, though i don't know which order they were in.

The women's final was 20/02/05, the men's final was 27/02/05 - I can't find any mention of a masters', though that's not to say it never happened!

The Finalists were:
JOHN REGIS - MASTERS CHAMPION DU'AINE LADEJO -WINNER HEAT 1 CHRIS RAWLINSON - 2ND HEAT 1 ADAM HOLLIOAKE - 3RD HEAT 1 JAMIE BAULCH - WINNER HEAT 2 JASON QUEALLY - 2ND HEAT 2 MARLON DEVONISH - 3RD HEAT 2 ALAIN BAXTER - WINNER HEAT 3 STEVE WILLIAMS - 2ND HEAT 3 IWAN THOMAS - 3RD HEAT 3
wish I had recorded more, loved this show, one of the best theme tunes ever!

On a sombre note, three times World Superstars champion Brian Budd passed away on June 11th aged 56. Budd had a big rivalry with Brian Jacks in the World Superstars from 1977-1979. A few years ago, BBC released a compliation of the British Superstars series, does the World version still exists in their archives. and if so what about a DVD release.

Funnily enough, I moved house a few months back and when clearing the old abode found some old VHS tapes I'd forgotten about. For curiosities sake I had a quick look at them and came across an episode of this series. It was the ladies final (not sure which year), won by a splendid looking young fille called Zoe Baker, a swimmer I believe.

Hmmm that confirms the masters final but sugests only 3 heats...

The first 4 episodes seem to be heats, followed by a ladies' final and a men's final - nothing billed as a 'masters' final' in RT at least. There was no programme on 13/2/05 due to Six Nations Rugby.
