In the week since the Mary Whitehouse drama 'Filth' starring Julie Walters, I've been quite intrigued by Swizzlewick which apparently parodied the Clean Up TV campaigner but have found very little information about it.
I did find that it was supposed to be a drama (and not a comedy as depicted in Filth) but wondered if any of it still exists and if anyone really can confirm Mrs Whitehouse did have an episode pulled live on air so to speak so it folded directly to the test-card.
Made great drama even if it was slightly embroidered anyway!

I was intrigued by 'Swizzlewick', though I don't know how accurately it was portrayed in 'Filth' (look at the treatment of 'Doctor Who', with the opening credits moved to the end of the episode). According to the Imdb, some episodes were directed by Douglas Camfield. I'd be surprised if any of the show has survived. The opening credits shown in 'Filth' may have been original, but the excerpts looked like reconstructions.
If an episode was pulled mid-broadcast, it would have been noted at the time. Whether or not there's any extant paperwork dealing with the matter is another question.

The first episode (and I think a tiny glimpse from another on the front of a telerecording of a programme that followed it) does survive in the BBC archive. The action excerpt in "Filth" was a reconstruction, the titles were genuine. As a series, it seems to be an odd attempt to do a comedy soap, judging by the existing episode.

is there a list anywhere of all Mary Whitehouse's complaints? I think you'd need a website of it's own to list everything Whitehouse complained about!
