Interesting. Heavily biased towards Hartnell though - I was hoping for more Troughton!

I can see the logic in recolouring b/w Pertwee episodes, even if the end results leave something to be desired. I have little interest in 'colourised' Hartnell and Troughton material as they look fine in the original b/w versions.

To be honest I agree. I like the look and feel of the old black and white stuff a lot. This isnt to knock anyones creative efforts though, theyve done an amazing job. Some of it really had wow factor in that it did look like authentic colour footage. Must have taken hours and hours of work. Congrats to the artist.

I would imagine it wasnt quite that hardcore. I cant tell for sure, but he possibly created transparent masks on different layers that could be moved with the objects / actors on screen for a lot of the clips. A few bits probably would require hand colouring though. If you had a good sense of colour it would be to possible to do it in photoshop, just very time consuming. A bit of a labour of love im thinking. Shouldnt this be in the doctor who section? Not that im really fussed

Here are some interesting colorizations, the last few I posted were taken down, hope these stay for a time at least: The Cyber Invasion in Colour: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViL_7lLp6ME&feature=relatedColourisation of " Planet of the Daleks 3": www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZS72JYx1jsColour Power Of The Daleks Trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpTW3QEiFNIShort clips from the Macra Terror in colour: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aPS0R7GAZAI thought, for fan colorizations are quite good, although I do agree to liking the origional aspect B/W much better, as that is how these episodes were origionally meant to be seen, except in the case of the Pertwee episodes. Always nice to see some great fan efforts into colorization though, time and quality of footage presented here is to be commended. Cheers, Lance.

There are problems with recolouring the B/W material as the picture was balanced for monochome, but no problem is insurmountable.

i love it.i did some colourizations in photoshop using colour photos as well as guess work as to what colours of costumes and sets they would have worn on and stood in in front of the black and white cameras which you can find on my devainart account here:http://superbart12345.deviantart.com/gallery/31039070
