I was just wondering something... Before I logged in, I saw the "new thread" link was missing. Is this board now "members only", including first posts(not just replies) ?

Well, due to the actions of the Australian Darren Gregory (and you know who I am talking about here), actions which include (but are not limited to) the hoaxing of episodes from the Marco Polo serial, impersonating other people on this forum ... I would guess the admins have instituted a "members only" policy. I agree with that sentiment.

I've been running a Proboards forum for about 18 months, just for the music scene in my town, and even then friends of mine (already registered on my boards) have occasionally impersonated one another as Guests. It doesn't make a difference to me on my boards, as I know who all these people are, but for these here Missing Episodes boards I think you're right to introduce a Members-Only rule for new threads, at least so it puts off less-determined hoaxers.

Oh, okay. I guess that makes sense. it's just a pity that it had to come to this, that it had to become "members only" just because of a few idiots. I understand why, but find it rather depressing that it is so...
