Last week I emailed the restoration team via their forum a letter for the return of a 16 mm film of missing Dr Who. To date I have not had a response from them. The episode was given to me with other films through a deceased estate around two months ago. Only recently due to ongoing work commitments have I been able to check through them, I have cross-referenced all films with your missing episodes list found on this very website to check the status of them all. It came up trumps!! The episode in question is Marco Polo: Mighty Kublai Khan. I need someone to forward the restoration team my email address in order for them to have the film verified and delivered to them. Thank You Chris Hyles c.d.hyles@gmail.com

Hi Chris, Over the last several months a certain individual (you'll find his name on page two of this board) who is obsessed with "Marco Polo" – your episode is from this story – has wasted the time of people, me included, and the RT with false claims about a missing episode of Marco Polo.
He now posts under various false names. So that's why most people are not about to jump off the couch when you post that you've found an episode from this story.
The best thing you can do is work through someone reliable, in this case LanceM has volunteered, and follow their instructions.
DON'T post (or link) pictures of this find of yours on this board or any other message board. And don't post anymore about this unless the people you are working through tell you it's OK to do so.

Nobody has e-mailed the RT about this, it's just Ainsworth trolling again, the sad bastard.

Could this be genuine then ? I just cant imagine why the RT team did not respond to such an e-mail ? What makes every one always suspect Andrew of starting every hoax after he had the last one a while back ? It is possible this is from a new hoaxer, it is also possible this is genuine. I have not heard a word from this guy to date, not a good sign. If chrishyles is reading this, please respond to my messages as soon as possible.
Thanks, Lance.

I admire your optimism, LanceM, but if this turns out to be genuine, I'll happily change my name to Brian Zarbi. As for Mr Ainsworth - or whatever name he chooses to use - people tend to suspect him because he is a self-confessed hoaxer with an apparent 'Marco Polo' fixation. Simple as that.

If this is genuine, I hope that chrissyles will understand that the fanbase has had a lot of problems, and still be willing to contribute.
Or once again it is a sick individual feeding their immature ego. AA has even PM'ed me through this forum inviting me to join his new pointless, unpopulated forum, he was using the name jontyadams.
But we still have people willing to search out missing episodes, and to them a commend their work and hope that many more finds will happen.

Wasn't this phrase (or a close variant on it) used by Ainsworth in the Wall of Lies hoax?
