... and why? Just for fun. Mine are, in chronological order of broadcast: The Wall of Lies (Marco Polo 4)Only episode of the serial for which no telesnaps survive and no complete episodes or even extracts survive from the serial. The Tyrant of France (The Reign of Terror 4) A Bargain of Necessity (The Reign of Terror 5)Would complete the serial. The Knight of Jaffa (The Crusade 2) The Warlords (The Crusade 4)Would complete the serial. The Exploding Planet (Galaxy 4 4)No complete episodes survive from the serial. Mission to the UnknownA unique episode and would effectively complete the serial (or not depending on your POV). Horse of Destruction (The Myth Makers 4)No complete episodes survive from the serial. The Feast of Steven (The Daleks' Master Plan 7)Another unique episode in the history of the series. War of God (The Massacre of St. Bartholomew's Eve 1)No complete episodes or even extracts survive from the serial. The Savages: Episode FourNo complete episodes survive from the serial. The Smugglers: Episode ThreeNo complete episodes survive from the serial. The Tenth Planet: Episode FourWould complete the serial and is an historically important episode. The Power of the Daleks: Episode OneNo complete episodes survive from the serial and is an historically important episode. The Highlanders: Episode ThreeNo complete episodes survive from the serial. The Moonbase: Episode One The Moonbase: Episode ThreeWould complete the serial. The Macra Terror: Episode TwoNo complete episodes survive from the serial. The Faceless Ones: Episode TwoBen and Polly's last episode (excluding the brief pre-filmed sequence at the end of Episode Six). The Ice Warriors: TWO The Ice Warriors: THREEWould complete the serial. The Enemy of the World: Episode SixLots of things in this episode I'd like to see, such as the cliff-hanger and the underground scenes. Fury from the Deep: Episode SixNo complete episodes survive from the serial. The Invasion: Episode One The Invasion: Episode FourWould complete the serial. Even when choosing twenty-five episodes (instead of the usual ten), I still found it hard to decide! I didn't get to list The Traitors, The Destruction of Time, The Faceless Ones 4-6, The Web of Fear 2-5, The Space Pirates 1, 3-6 and so on.

Tenth Planet 4 The massacre 1 - 4 any one episode of Marco Polo - just to finally substantiate one of those bloody annoying rumours that are spreading like wild-fire recently Dalek's Masterplan 12 (for the effects of the time destructor)
Pat T
Power of the Daleks 1 - 6 (it's a classic and I soooo want to see it) Fury from the Deep 1 - 6 (Same reason) Web of Fear 2 - 6 (ditto) Evil of the Daleks 7 - legendary

Okay then, in the order they occur to me...
Tenth Planet 4 - Obviously.
The Crusade 2 and 4 - just to finish the story and complete series 2.
The other nine episodes of Dalek's Master Plan.
Power of the Daleks 1
Moonbase 1 and 3
The Invasion 1 and 4
right 5 left...
Marco Polo 1 Evil of the Daleks 7 Mission to the Unknown and finally Web of Fear 2 to 6

Twenty five, eh...
Smugglers 1-4 Tenth Planet 4 Power 1-6 Highlanders 1-4 Underwater Menace 1, 2 & 4 The Moonbase 1 & 3 The Macra Terror 1-4 Faceless Ones 6
Which, by an *amazing* coincidence, almost exactly corresponds with every missing Polly episode... Funny that...

How come you picked The Faceless One 6 over 2 if you were picking Polly episodes?

'Cos 6 is her last episode.
Strictly speaking, I should have picked FO 2 & 6, and missed off one of the Power episodes - either 4 or 5, I forget which - as she wasn't in it, but that would leave Power incomplete as well...

I think it's Ben who is absent from Episode Four and Polly who is absent from Episode Five.
I would have thought you'd have picked Episode Two of The Faceless Ones over Episode Six because "Six" only features a brief pre-filmed insert ("Oh hi... bye!") whereas Episode Two features more of Polly (well, fake Polly, at least). But I can understand why you would choose "Six" because it's her last appearance.
I love the soundtrack of The Faceless Ones! I haven't seen the surviving episodes yet. On a scale of one to ten (ten being the best), how great are they? Ben is my favourite companion (and Polly, though only as a team with Ben).

Ben is my favourite companion (and Polly, though only as a team with Ben). By that, I mean that I wouldn't like Polly if she was on her own (too screamy and helpless), but as it stands, I love her relationship with Ben - the fact that they've both been taken on this journey which is beyond anything they know and understand. I also like to think that they got together after leaving in The Faceless Ones, though Ben probably boarded his ship and never saw Polly again.

TENTH PLANET 4 2. FURY 6 3. POWER 1 4. POWER 6 5. MASTERPLAN 4 6. ANY POLO EPISODE 7. EVIL 7 (A classic) 8. HIGHLANDERS 1 9. FACELESS ONES 2,4,5,6 (This story is totaly fab) 10. MASTERPLAN 12 There we go, if we see any of them again I shall be very happy.

Interesting that Marco Polo (any episode); The Daleks' Master Plan 4, 12; The Tenth Planet 4; The Power of the Daleks 1, 6; The Evil of the Daleks 7; and Fury from the Deep (all episodes) tend to get mentioned in this sort of thread. They're all either important episodes ("Master Plan" 4 and 12 both feature the death of a companion and 12 features a superb finale; The Tenth Planet 4 features the first regeneration etc.) or fan favourites (Fury from the Deep!).

True - I'd have to list FURY myself. And EVIL. And POWER. Oh, and I've always had a bit of soft spot for "The Faceless Ones" and "The Highlanders". Oops - that makes 26 Bugger...

Oops - that makes 26 Bugger... I bet if we had to choose 100 episodes, we'd still get stuck. (I know Galaxy 4 1 is the last episode I'd like to see recovered as so much of it already exists.) After I compiled my list of MUST HAVES (stories without existing episodes, episodes that would complete 50% complete or more stories and historically important episodes), I was left with two episodes! I think I chose "Enemy" 6 and "Faceless" 2.

My 25 would be the Tenth Planet Part 4 (no surprises there.) Parts 2&4 of the Crusade, and 1&3 of the Moonbase as these might not get the animated treatment like the Invasion because they've already been released on Lost on time dvd with the audio. The missign parts of the Ice Warriors and the Reign of Terror though probably will get a release now (its only a matter of when) so I can leave them missing. The remaining twenty then would have to be all four parts of the Macra Terror, all four parts of the Massacre, all six parts of Power of the Daleks, parts 2-5 of the web of fear and probably dalek masterplan episode 12.

Hello All,
Troughton being my favorite doctor, and having so little existing from his tenure I would want to see the following episodes:
Power Of The Daleks:
( 1-6, His first tale as the doctor, with the daleks, sooo want to see this one returned )
Highlanders:
( 1-4, Jamie's first story, and also the last historical story in Black and White )
The Moonbase:
(1 & 3, would complete the story )
Macra Terror:
( All episodes, love the soundtrack, and the clips that were recovered, looks like a good story )
Evil of the Daleks:
( ep 7, as it was the end of the daleks in the 1960's on TV, until Day of the Daleks in the early 1970's) ( this does not include the dalek clip used in War Games)
Enemy Of The World:
( 4 , as there is no footage or telesnaps present for this episode)
Web of Fear:
(2-6, Of course a popular pick all around here )
Invasion:
(1 & 4, would complete a fantastic cybermen story )
I ran out of episodes, but of course Fury From the Deep or Wheel In Space would be a welcome addition to this list, as both are very important stories. Fury sees Deborah Watling leaving the TARDIS and Zoe Herriot joining the gang in Wheel In Space. Plus Deborah said that she was mad that the BBC destroyed a huge chunk of her acting career that she would love to see once again., wouldn't we all.
Lance.

Marco Polo 6 & 7 a little slow in earlier episodes, last 2 are real stormers
The Crusade 2&4 One of my all time favorite stories
Masterplan 11 & 12 from memory the strongest missing episodes from the story
Power of the Dalek 1-6 Evil of the Daleks 1, 3-7 2 of my all time favorite stories, I make no apology for using half of the allocation with these 2 stories
Any Fury episode just to get a flavor of the story
The Massacre 2 & 4 episode 2 (IIRC) to see Hartnell as the Abbot and episode 4 for the great scene of Steven and the Doctors argument in the Tardis
The Myth Makers (all) highly underrated, one of my all time favorite stories
14 David Whitaker episode out of the 25 chosen, shows I am a big David Whitaker fan <G>
I would have liked to squeeze in and episode or 2 from The Savages and The Smugglers, both quality stories IMHO and deserve a bit more exposure.
