The final episode (22/11/58) plus maybe one other?
Also there's a slightly odd feature film which used to turn up on TV - although when I saw it about ten years ago I think it was missing a few performances.
Which reminds me - completely off topic (sorry). Anyone know when 'Ferry Cross the Mersey' was last on TV?
Can't have been on in fifteen, maybe twenty years!

Thanks for the info, Whenever the BBC drag out a clip of this they always show a clip from an ep. dated to dec 1957 (I think) This is the edition that features Spike Milligan Michael Holiday and Ray Anthony. Freddie Mills on top form. I wonder why they never show anything from the 1958 ep. Is it on a non broadcastable format.

it's probably the usual issues of expediency & cost - ie. use clips from an episode that's already been transferred to tape rather than wait & pay for the transfer of another episode.

I've always read that there was only the one surviving show, but recently someone said that there were two.No one should be surprised at the almost non-existent survival rate;after all, we know the Beeb's attitude to pop music in the fifties and sixties.

There are two version of the film of "6 5 Special", which is owned by Canal PLus now by the way. There'a cutdown (which was done for the US originally I think) which is the one that deletes a few of the performances.
It's one of those films that used to be used a stand-by programme as there was 2 versions of different lengths and I would suspect that the only way that the shorter versio would have been aired was if a live programme fell off air e.g. C4 Racing or summat.
