Does anything exist at all of this show as loads of kids wrote in about Dr Who and the show had loads of clips and special features including a guest appearance by Celation from Masterplan. Who knows what? And does the dalek sketch from wayne and Shuster exist in the archives

Little if anything exist of Junior Points of View. Certainly none of the Dr Who items survive.
I'm not quite sure about Wayne and Shuster, but unless I am confusing it with another programme, I *think* a copy turned up sometime in the last few years. Someone else might be able to give a definite answer.

And does the dalek sketch from wayne and Shuster exist in the archives Yes, it certainly exists - and it's awful!! It's not actually a Dalek sketch as such, just a very long, very unfunny sketch that uses a piece of scenery from Mission to the Unknown and a silent Dalek in the final few seconds. It was originally scheduled to be on the Dalek Invasion of Earth DVD, but the required permission from Hancocks was not recieved before the delivery date of the DVD assets, so it was removed. Did I mention that it is very unfunny?!! Richard

I watched that whole film print end to end and didn't find one funnyn moment. Perhaps that's why they didn't make many more BBC programmes? The 'Hello Dalek' caption bordered on the amusing.....

I have an eight track audio recording off Junior Points of View. It's an extract where kids are writing into complain about the new Doctor Who, Patrick Troughton not being as good as Hartnell, and would they bring him back.
"I say boo to the new Dr Who" was response that springs to mind.

I can confirm to my surprise I saw clips from a 'Junior points of view' and titles shown recently on BBC 3 or 4. This was one where adults guested & responded on 'Magic Roundabout' being rescheduled so they might miss it & originated from 1966. Not known if it includes any 'Doctor Who' content though.

"Junior Points of View" and "Points of View" were both in 5 minute slots in the 60s. It's not impossible that a JPOV, or part of one could turn up, but it's quite unliklely given that it seems to have mainly gone out on Fridays after "Crackerjack", and very very few of those exist. If one does exist, all I can say is it will turn up eventually!
The JPOV clip that was shown on BBC4 recently (in "Time Shift: The Magic Roundabout Story") was from a 1966 "Late Night Line-Up", where it was part of an item on MR, including a Serge Danot interview, and two complete MR episodes, one in English and one in French!

I know this a very old thread but I thought I'd continue it from here rather than start a new one!
I was just wondering whether the scene featuring Wayne and Shuster has ever been released in any format? If it has could someone point me in the right direction? Also could anyone supply any details about the broadcast of this segment?
Secondly the original poster mentioned an appearance of Celation in Junior Points of View. Is this true and if so would anyone be able to share any details about it?

Thought I would ask again if anyone has any information of the Wayne and Shuster clip; broadcast date, title of show, length and so on. I would still love to see it (or know more about it) and so if anyone has any information on whether it has ever been released I would be very grateful to hear it! Thanks.

It was from The Wayne and Schuster Show broadcast on Saturday 4 September 1965. The sketch was called The Machine that Conquered the World - based on the hit Broadway musical - Hello Dalek! and lasted a total of 14 minutes. The first part, set in a laboratory, uses set pieces from Mission to the Unknown and a silent Dalek appears in the last 20 seconds or so.
It is one of the least funny things I've ever seen and it's never had any form of release.
