Hi folks, thought you may be interested that the following is now available from specialist shops and my good self!
SHAPES AND SOUNDS VOLUME TWO - ‘Shades Of Deepest Purple from the BBC archives 1967 - 1971’
TOP SOUNDS TSLP 003
Vinyl £13.99
As with S & S Vol 1 the LP features previously unreleased tracks from the BBC Transcription service, as well as some off air recordings of otherwise lost sessions. Transcription stuff by the Casuals, the Mirage, the Alan Bown, The Bystanders and the Gun features alongside off air radio recordings by Portrait and Katch 22, a Gun track from 'Top Gear' and an audio recording of the band Killing Floor taped off the TV programme 'Disco 2'. Only the vinyl is available at the moment (the CD will follow) and all tracks have been professionally restored, and the record comes with a 16 page colour booklet done in vintage Radio Times style. My website (www.topsoundsrecords.co.uk) has yet to be updated so if anyone would like to buy one you could contact me direct at virginsleep@aol.com
All the best!
