Does anyone have any detail on Shadow on the Sun, a SF serial broadcast in the the late 1950s or early 1960s I believe. It was based on the premise of the planet being cooled by extra-terestrial activity and I remember part of the story involving a hovercraft and cannabalised human tissue being used in some sort of cyborg organism. I may have the title wrong but am about 90% confident in my memory.

Hi, Frederick This was a 13 partserial broadcast on the Light Programme between 6th October and 29th December 1961: "A shadow on the sun means increasing cold on Earth, but with it, on meteorite particles, comes a cold-resisting virus. Investigation in Antarctica proves that instead of the meteorite that was expected there is a spaceship with a very strange crew". Information from The Complete Guide To Science Fiction On British Radio 1927 -2004 by P.R.A. Fabb. Sadly, Penny notes that no known copies exist! Stuart
