I only heard the Macca repeat, but the intro was re-recorded by Plomley, to mention the anniversary.

Kenneth willimas broadcast twice, the first is missing,a nd the second is there, but the front is clipped - a very poor spooling problem lead to that!

Hi Steve, You say the second one (Parkinson) is missing the beginning, if so does anyone know by how much? I have the entire recording but wasn't aware this was rare?
Cheers Dave

Only a few seconds of the actual taling are missing off of the KW one and the copies that have been floating around have a bit of phasing problem. Drop me a line through the www.kennethwilliams.org.uk site and I can sort out more details.

Hi Can't find an email on your site (I think my browser is playing up and not loading everything). Drop me a line at lostclassics@hotmail.com and let me know how much (line by line) is missing and I'll double check its on my copy.
Thanks Dave

Is there a list anywhere of what survives from Roy Plomley's era?
I've seen a few doing the rounds on ebay i.e. McCartney and Cliff Richard but would be interested to know what the earliest recordings are and if there are any DID collectors out there?

Andy- I have a few DID shows but it's a show I have become increasingly interested in collecting. I'm certainly up for exchanging pre. 1990 editions- I have some from 1959 onwards.
Cheers, Richard.
