Info: Created and written by Edwin Apps and Pauline Devaney, from their successful BBC TV series. All 33 episodes were adapted for radio and broadcast in a series of 13 in 1971, followed by a series of 20 in 1972. According to various web-sites all episodes are extant, which is a bit of good news!

Cool! Thank you for that. I seem to remember that the 1971 radio series starred Derek Nimmo (as per the TV) but the 72 series featured Jonathan Cecil in his place. Anyone know why?

10 eps are in the BBC Sound Archives "proper", (3 from the first run, 7 from series two - as repeated on R7 last year). From what I can gather, Nimmo was away on an overseas tour when the 1972 radio series was recorded - hence the lackluster, "obvious" version of Noot given by Jonathan Cecil.
