Does anyone know if the colour grandfather clock/clocks sequence of "I close my eyes and count to ten" comes from "It must be Dusty" an ATV prod ? If so, surely the Hendrix sequence must be somewhere?

Greetings Helpful H!
I was thinking of you only this evening as I tucked into some Jacob's fig rolls.
There is some amateur footage of Dusty and Jimi doing Mockingbird.
Could this be it?

Hi Kev yes they are going well with the cocoa. What would Hughie have made of all this eh? he would have turned in his clapometer.
I did note in the effervescent Tony Rees Pop Diaries about the amateur footage of Hendrix/Dusty. of the 12/6 show.
However the last show of the series which I believe was 24/6 had George Fame and also Dusty singing "close my eyes etc" I have seen a colour sequence of Dusty singing this song against an almost surreal background of various clocks --I wondred if this particular sequence came from the 24/6 'it must be dusty show'? Therefore if that does exist then surely the Hendrix show might exist as well?...just a thought anyway

The "I Close My Eyes" grandfather clocks clip comes from a Dutch TV special that Dusty did, not from her ITV series.

Isn't the dusty/hendrix clip some amature 8mm taken from one of the studio monitors?

Think it was somebody at home with their movie camera William releasing what a great moment it was, unlike ATV.

BR Music have just issued a DVD collection on Dusty called 'I Close My Eyes And Count To Ten'. They are the great company who have issued the 'Remember the 60's and 70's' collections. Does anyone know what footage is on this DVD? They've also issued a collection on 10CC and Status Quo featuring many archive performances but I don't know the details yet.

Sent off for the Dusty BR Music DVD after it was mentioned here 10 days ago (they have a slightly odd system on their website, where you have to download an order form and then post it (with your signature and credit card details), and guess what - the DVD arrived this morning.
The tracklisting is available on BMR's website, but includes all the usual hits, a few taken from Dusty's BBC series, NME Pollwinners concerts and Just Dusty (the Dutch TV special previously mentioned, which is already available in full on DVD), but as well as these it also contains several gems that I hadn't previously seen.
As far as I am aware the ONLY performance by Dusty of "Once Upon A Time" (which is one of the few songs she wrote herself), "I Only Want To Be With You" from the same show, "Knowing When to Leave" from the Ivor Novello Awards, "A Brand New Me" from Frost on Saturday, and even a previously unseen (by me) performance of Island of Dream by The Springfields, from a show called "Boulevard".
The overall quality of the DVD is very good, and it even has a DTS soundtrack as well as a DD2 one.
Definitely recommended for any Dusty fans who might be reading this, and from the flyer enclosed they have also released compilation DVDs from the likes of Demis Rousoss, Dave Dee, Dozy Beaky, Mick & Tich(!), Vicky Leandros and Tom Jones.

"My Very Best, Love Dusty" (UK) and Reflections (US) both contain the Just Dusty special, as well as other performances. They are both listed on Amazon as well as many other online DVD suppliers.
Hope that helps.
