This listing on eBay tinyurl.com/2yfv9nclaims to have a copy of 'Death of a Friend' as part of a collected Callan pirate set. We have it listed as missing, but perhaps that's an error? Any Callan fans know the situation (also the listing claims that the copyright owners have waived their rights to these episodes of Callan, which is a new one on me). Cheers Staurt

I think the rights to series 2 of Callan are disputed (ABC / Thames crossover), which may be why the complete DVD set has not yet appeared. The rights definitely haven't been waived on them. Sounds like a feeble get-out clause for someone trying to flog something they don't have the rights to!

A lot of people on ebay (and other auction sites) seem to make a habit of making claims like this. Another old favourite is listing such material as "public domain" - which, apart from very few US shows from the 1950s (eg - "One Step Beyond"), is never the case. Don't be taken in by them - most AV material sold on auction sites is still very much copyrighted material...

They claim the masters are now missing, thats not the case as well on all the episodes!
