On this stream there is a comedy program ‘Where a Team’ (We’re a Team’?) starring Mike & Bernie Winters.
When Springbok Radio was airing Brit-style programmes this was during the era of apartheid. So there was a boycott of Brit actors being involved in such as The Avengers, Navy Lark, and Men from the Ministry. Whilst they initially used scripts from the BBC they soon started to write their own scripts. And local actors achieved as much fame such as Leslie Philips here.
So I’m quizzy as to how Mike and Bernie Winters managed to have their episodes aired in South Africa. Moot point indeed.

It also seems like Springbok have some lost or missing actual Brit produced programmes in their archives.

I wonder if the SA-produced James Bond radio drama starring Bob Holness exists? I assume not or we'd have heard examples of it by now.

jamesbond.fandom.com/wiki/Bob_Holness Moonraker was a radio drama adaptation of Ian Fleming's 1955 novel that was adapted by the Durban Repertory Theatre for the SABC's Springbok Radio.[2][3][4] It is variously reported to have aired in either 1955, 1956, 1957 or 1958 and no extant copies are known to exist.[1] Possibly not authorized by Fleming or his agents[1], it was the first radio adaptation of a 007 novel and starred actor Bob Holness as the titular character for the first and only time.

Does the script exist? I didn't know springbok still exists or has an archive Springbok Revisited has existed for some years hosted by Radio South Africa. Luckily many archived episodes still exist. These are compiled into 6 to 8 hour repeating streams changing every week. Many episodes are from BBC inspired programmes such as Man from the Ministry, The Navy Lark, and The Avengers, as well as plays and documentaries. It is possible to access these from Dar.fm BTW the streaming of archived episodes was halted a few years ago when one of the key staff was very seriously mugged at an ATM in J’burg. Luckily the guy recovered and the project continued. ====
